Welcome to our exciting new library, opened in April 2011. Modern furniture and an extensive collection of children's books and other resources create an inviting environment to foster reading in children.

Students are encouraged to borrow every week. A library bag will help to protect the books from damage.  The number of books borrowed by the students varies depending on their year level. Parents are also welcome to borrow materials from the school.

Encourage your child to use the library and to treat books with respect. Try to find time to listen to your child read, talk about the book they are reading and read aloud to them. Your cooperation in seeing that books are returned on time would be appreciated. If your child forgets to bring their book back on their library day, please encourage them to return it as soon as possible to the returns box located in the library. We will send home notices when books are overdue. In circumstances where the book is lost or damaged, parents will be asked to replace the book.

Please remember to return all library books when leaving the school on transfer.

Book Week is in August. Look for information on the Children's Book Council of Australia website.
Our school takes part in The Readers Cup each year. We participate in the Ipswich Region.
